In her works, Marini presents a peculiar style based on exquisite constructivist-geometric designs using ceramics. Her artistic vision is to mould a content that always alludes to a terrene image projecting towards an interior space or towards the spectator manifesting in the use of soft edges of soft borders while using protuberant circular forms. The inclusion of circular forms creates other levels of meaning that take form in universal symbols in relation to her creation. Marini challenges her material through her technique looking for new plastic solutions with the goal of presenting new meaning.
Marini pays great attention to detail in color showing subtle variations of shades and tonality. This artist’s creative ability surprises the spectator due to the details in her compositions.
Myrna Rodríguez Vega, AICA- International Association of Art Critics
Margarita Marini’s exceptional accomplishment is to be able to give an imaginative and game-like appearance to objects that are ruled by abstract internal and external forms. She finishes by turning them into delicious “puzzles” and “constructions” of style that is quite personal and elegant.
Enrique García Gutiérrez - 2003
