In his paintings,
Maurás presents his proposed philosophy of time in relation to space manifesting itself through a landscape, which interprets the metaphor of the Creation. It urges the spectator to question its own existence as a result of the message the painter conveys and the way that this message is conveyed. His carefully wrought technique of transparency generates very deep personal emotions as well as his works of velatura combined with touches of pastosity. The harmony in his compositions, with apparent simplicity but complex in its rendition and the sensation of open space and chromatic variations induce the spectator into a pleasant but challenging experience inciting them to go deeper and comprehend the magic of the Creation.

Edwin
Maurás works of acrylic place the spectator in a point facing between existence and non-existence. Most of his canvas shows lineal proportions with horizons in different levels captivating the contemplator’s gaze beyond visible reality.
Maurás resorts to thermal zones so that the optical impulse accelerates before entering an area of unperturbed pleasantness. The image of cosmology activates the mind and further merits continuing analyses.
